As a graduate of the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), the prestigious pinnacle of art education in China, my journey has always been a relentless pursuit of visual poetry. For years, I immersed myself in academic canvas and contemporary design, yet it was on a quiet afternoon on my sunlit balcony that my artistic soul found its true awakening.

I discovered the ancient, breathing art of Raden—traditional Mother of Pearl inlay. Unlike pigments mixed in a studio, the iridescent shells of abalone and pearl oysters are painted by the ocean itself. Each piece carries an ethereal glow that changes with every shift of ambient light, capturing gold, emerald, and violet(aurora) hues that no brush could ever replicate.

At Showing Studio, I hand-carve, hand-cut, and meticulously piece together these natural gemstones, fusing millennia-old Chinese craftsmanship with a clean, modern aesthetic. Because every shell texture is unique, each artwork is inherently one-of-a-kind.
